The plot of the story was great. This one started off rolling The Last True Hero. As soon as they mentioned Thierry in the first book, I was hoping he was going to get a happy ending.

Surprisingly, this book wasn’t bad. Having entrusted the well-being of his son to Michael Cyprien, a high-ranking leader in the Darkyn, he decides he’s going to track down the men who tortured and burned a woman to get information about the Darkyn, and make them pay. As I’ve said before I enjoy Veihl’s twist on vampires.

A must read for all. Pynn goes to her to 3. I really liked the connection between Jema and Valentin which turns out to be very crucial for this story.

Only In My Dreams. I like that these two are There were things I liked about this book and things I didn’t.

Thierry Durand almost lost his mind after discovering his wife Angelina betrayed all Darkyn and helped the Brethren murder several of his deon and including maiming their son. Overall I will say this about the book it was very emotional with a healthy dose of good sex, and gut twisting action. I enjoyed getting to know Thierry. My heart broke for Valentine, but I was so happy for Thierry and Jema!

Jema is a very interesting character.

He is cemon in despair because Jema has lived all her life with juvenile diabetes and her life expectancy isn’t very high. I also liked it much better. I have to admit that this book was better than the first one. My only problem with this book was again with John.

To his surprise, Valentin finds himself reluctantly bonding with the unpredictable American doctor. It has been a lhnn time since I read If Angels Burn, the only thing I remembered was that I had enjoyed it and that it was a thriller with romantic elements. Return to Book Page.

The ending was so sad. Mar 21, Cid Tyer rated it really liked it Shelves: Refresh and try again. Which occurred in the first of the Da I’ve been reading Viehl’s work since the first StarDoc came out.

Despite my lack of empathy or belief in the HEA of the main couple, I really enjoyed this book because of the ongoing plot. In the end, things come together in Private Demon to bring a close ylnn Jema and Thierry’s story while still leaving things open for the next installment Dark Need. Interestingly enough, race plays a greater role privaate this book, but in a disturbing way, and I’m not sure if it was necessary to bring in skinheads on a murder streak.

Although Theirry and Jema are clearly the hero and heroine of this story, we vieehl see enough of Alex and Michael from the dsmon book If Angels Burn, Darkyn Book 1and other creatures from their world, to make this a book about the Darkyn and Brethern as much as the hero and heroine.
